Louis XV Style Gueridon Table (c.1920's)

An early twentieth century Louis XV style gueridon table. The table base, originally a hand painted Florentine finish, with hand carved gilt gold accents, holds a clear varnished parquetry and marquetry top. The piece was completely restored beginning with a French polish, pure tung oil finish to the top. The marquetry and parquetry feature satinwood, striped mahogany and other exotic dyed woods. The base was prepared and re-painted with Benjamin Moore Satin Impervo enamel "Cloud White" #cc 40. The hand carved accents were re-gilded with Sheffield leaf finish #83 "Rich Gold", lightly distressed, and polished with pure bees wax. The piece is in excellent restored condition, without issue.
